The purpose of this website is to provide student pilots, additional rating applicant pilots, and certified flight instructors, with an informative and current source of information regarding pilot checkrides. I have found in the past that many applicants, and in some cases instructors, were unfamiliar with exactly what is required of the applicant with regard to the ground and flight portions of the checkride. There really should be no mystery, since there exist fairly specific guidelines (PTS) as to what areas of knowledge and flying skill the examiner must test.
This site will examine each type of checkride (airplane category only) and provide specific examples of areas that must be studied or practiced (flying skills) in order to achieve a satisfactory test. In addition, you will find helpful aviation related links, endorsements, frequently ask questions, and what's new in aviation. So visit often.
